Carved wooden calendars were known to many peoples from the Middle Ages beginning of 20th century. For example, Scandinavian ones are well enough studied, but about existence such among Belarusians wasn’t for a long time. The Russian Museum Ethnography has carved calendar Sluck County. Today it is only Belarusian artifact. article presents description Čudzin Village, A brief overview other similar type shown. prerequisites formation and distribution artifacts on territory Belarus studied. discusses sign system used designate holidays working periods, which correlate with tradition region.
